Publication Ethics
Didakta: International Journal of Social Sciences, Language, and Education is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical responsibility in scholarly publishing. The journal adheres to the principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to comply with these ethical standards throughout the publication process.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are required to ensure that all submitted manuscripts are original works that are accurately presented and properly cited with reference to previously published sources. Any form of plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or duplicate publication is strictly prohibited. Authors must report their research honestly, provide sufficient methodological and analytical details to enable verification, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest. Authorship should accurately reflect significant intellectual or practical contributions to the research, and manuscripts must not be under consideration or review by other journals at the time of submission.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for evaluating manuscripts in a fair, objective, and timely manner, based solely on their academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope in social sciences, language, and education. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and disclose information only to individuals directly involved in the editorial and peer-review process. Editorial decisions must be made impartially, without discrimination or conflicts of interest, and in accordance with ethical standards that uphold research integrity and responsible scholarship.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to conduct manuscript reviews objectively, constructively, and within the agreed timeframe to support the improvement of manuscript quality. All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers should identify and report any ethical concerns, including plagiarism, redundant publication, or undisclosed conflicts of interest, to the editors. Reviewers who consider themselves unqualified to review a manuscript or unable to provide an unbiased evaluation must decline the review invitation.
Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher, in cooperation with the editorial board, is responsible for ensuring that all publication activities comply with ethical standards and COPE guidelines. This includes addressing ethical complaints, investigating allegations of academic misconduct, and implementing appropriate corrective actions, such as issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when necessary. The publisher also supports the editorial team in promoting transparency, accountability, and fairness throughout the publication process.
