Peer Review Process

All authors submitting manuscripts to Didakta: International Journal of Social Sciences, Language, and Education are required to complete a Statement of Ethical Compliance, which is available for download on the journal’s official website. This statement serves as confirmation of the authors’ adherence to ethical standards and research integrity. It is not a manuscript template; therefore, all submissions must strictly follow the journal’s Author Guidelines.

The editorial process begins with an initial screening conducted by the editorial team. At this stage, manuscripts are evaluated for compliance with formatting requirements, completeness of submission, plagiarism screening, and alignment with the journal’s aims, focus, and scope in the fields of social sciences, language studies, and education. This includes, but is not limited to, topics such as social development, educational policy, curriculum and pedagogy, linguistics, language education, and learning innovation.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening proceed to the peer review stage. Didakta applies a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure objectivity, fairness, and confidentiality. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers and is assessed based on the following criteria:

  • Originality, novelty, and contribution to the fields of social sciences, language, or education;

  • Rigor and clarity of the research design, theoretical or conceptual framework, and analytical methods;

  • Coherence, logical organization, and clarity of presentation;

  • Relevance to the aims, focus, and scope of the journal.

Based on the reviewers’ evaluations and recommendations, the editorial board will reach one of the following decisions:

  • Accept the manuscript;

  • Request minor revisions;

  • Request major revisions;

  • Reject the manuscript.

Authors who are requested to revise their manuscripts will be given a specified timeframe to submit the revised version, accompanied by a detailed response letter addressing each reviewer’s comment. The editorial team of Didakta is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and efficiency throughout the peer review process. Authors may contact the editorial office at any stage to request updates or clarification regarding the status of their submission.
