Focus and Scope
Devosia: Community Outreach Journal of Indonesian Movement is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to the publication of high-quality scholarly works in the fields of community service and community-based engagement across multidisciplinary areas. The journal serves as an academic platform for researchers, academics, scholars, and practitioners to disseminate original articles, program reports, applied research, best practices, and critical evaluations related to community empowerment and social development at both national and global levels.
Manuscripts may be submitted in English or Indonesian and must demonstrate academic rigor, originality, practical relevance, and measurable community impact. The scope of Devosia includes, but is not limited to, community service and empowerment programs in education, health, economics and entrepreneurship, agriculture, technology transfer, environmental sustainability, disaster mitigation, public policy, social innovation, cultural preservation, gender and community development, digital literacy, and interdisciplinary community-based initiatives.
By embracing a comprehensive and applied orientation toward community outreach, Devosia: Community Outreach Journal of Indonesian Movement aims to strengthen scholarly discourse on community service, promote innovative and sustainable models of empowerment, and contribute to the advancement of higher education’s role in addressing real societal challenges. The journal is published four times a year (quarterly), with scheduled issues in January, April, July, and October, reflecting a sustained commitment to fostering continuous academic dialogue and the development of impactful community service at national and international levels.
