Peer Review Process

All authors submitting manuscripts to Profixa: International Journal of Economic and Business Research are required to complete a Statement of Ethical Compliance, available for download on the journal’s official website. This statement serves as formal confirmation of the authors’ adherence to ethical standards, research integrity, and publication ethics. Please note that this document is not a manuscript template; all submissions must strictly comply with the journal’s Author Guidelines.

The editorial process begins with an initial screening conducted by the editorial team. At this stage, manuscripts are assessed for:

  • Completeness of submission

  • Compliance with formatting requirements

  • Plagiarism screening

  • Alignment with the journal’s focus and scope in economics and business research, including areas such as economic development, finance, accounting, management, entrepreneurship, marketing, public and corporate policy, digital economy, and sustainability

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening proceed to the peer review stage. Profixa implements a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure objectivity, impartiality, and confidentiality. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:

  • Originality, novelty, and scholarly contribution to economics and business research

  • Rigor and appropriateness of the research design, theoretical or conceptual framework, and analytical methods

  • Clarity, coherence, and logical organization of the manuscript

  • Relevance to the aims, focus, and scope of the journal

Based on the reviewers’ reports and recommendations, the editorial board may issue one of the following decisions:

  • Accept the manuscript

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Request major revisions

  • Reject the manuscript

Authors who are requested to revise their manuscripts will be given a specified timeframe to submit a revised version, accompanied by a point-by-point response letter addressing each reviewer’s comment.

The editorial team of Profixa is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and efficiency throughout the peer review process. Authors may contact the editorial office at any stage to request updates or clarification regarding the status of their submission.
