Author Guidelines

Mercatura Lumina: Journal of Management, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism publishes original and high-quality scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of management science, entrepreneurial studies, business innovation, and tourism development. The journal welcomes submissions in areas including, but not limited to, strategic management, organizational behavior, marketing and digital business, entrepreneurship education, small and medium enterprise (SME) development, entrepreneurial finance, hospitality management, destination governance, tourism policy, sustainable tourism, and community-based tourism initiatives.

All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal.

Submission Procedure

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to register prior to submission and strictly follow all instructions provided on the OJS platform. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the authors for revision before entering the peer-review process.

Manuscript Format

  • Paper size: A4, single-column

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Line spacing: Single (1.0)

  • Length: Maximum 20 pages, including tables, figures, and references

  • Font: Times New Roman

    • Main text: 11 pt

    • Tables, figures, and references: 11 pt

    • Headings: 12–14 pt

Title, Abstract, and Keywords

  • Title: Maximum of 12 words (English)

  • Author information: Author names should be written without academic titles. Institutional affiliation and email address are required.

  • Abstract: Written in English (maximum 200 words), clearly presenting the research background, objectives, methodology, main findings, and conclusions.

  • Keywords: Up to five keywords reflecting the core topics of the manuscript.

Article Structure

1. Introduction

Presents the research background, problem formulation, research objectives, significance of the study, and relevant literature review (approximately 15–20%).

2. Methodology

Describes the research approach, data sources or respondents, sampling techniques (if applicable), data collection procedures, and analytical methods relevant to management, entrepreneurship, or tourism research (approximately 10–15%).

3. Results and Discussion

Presents the research findings and provides critical discussion in relation to relevant theories, empirical evidence, industry practices, and previous studies within the respective fields.

4. Conclusion

Summarizes the key findings, theoretical and practical implications, study limitations, and recommendations for future research or professional application.

References

  • References and in-text citations must follow APA Style (7th Edition).

  • At least 80% of references should be published within the last 10 years, prioritizing peer-reviewed journal articles, academic books, and reputable scholarly sources.

  • The use of reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is strongly recommended.

Review Articles

Review articles should include the following sections: Introduction, Theoretical or Conceptual Framework, Critical Analysis or Discussion, and Conclusion. Review manuscripts must demonstrate strong analytical depth, originality, and relevance to the development of management, entrepreneurship, and tourism scholarship.

Checklist Before Submission

Before submitting the manuscript, authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript complies with these Author Guidelines;

  • The work is original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere;

  • References are complete and formatted according to APA Style (7th Edition);

  • Tables, figures, and illustrations are clear, properly numbered, and cited in the text;

  • All necessary permissions have been obtained for any third-party materials, if applicable.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
